Spanish Copa Del Rey 2016

The Copa del Rey (English: King's Cup) is associate degree annual soccer cup competition for Spanish soccer groups. Its full name is Campeonato First State Kingdom of {spain|Espana|European country|European nation} - Copa First State Su Majestad el Rey First State Fútbol (Championship of Spain - Cup of His magnificence the King of Football), and is often called La Copa.

The competition was based in 1903, therefore creating it the oldest Spanish soccer competition. Typically, the winner of Copa del Rey goes to the UEFA Europa League; unless they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

22 Dec 2010, at a rare general meeting of the Royal Spanish soccer Federation, city FC requested permission from the Federation to stay the trophy that they had won within the 2010 final to commemorate the success of the Spanish national team at the 2010 FIFA tournament in Republic of South Africa. There had been a precedent for this; Real national capital were allowed to stay the last Copa First State la República (1936), Sevilla, the primary Copa del Generalísimo (1939) and, Atlético national capital, the last Copa del Generalísimo (1976).

A new trophy was created by national capital jeweller Federico Alegre. The trophy, made from silver, weighs fifteen metric weight unit (33 lb) and is seventy five cm (30 in) tall. On twenty one April 2011, Real national capital became the primary recipients of the trophy. throughout the post-game celebrations, the trophy was accidentally born at Plaza First State Cibeles by the important national capital player Sergio Ramos from the highest of a coach bus, that then ran over it. 10 items were found by civil servicemen once they recovered it from the bottom. The club received a replica that is displayed at Santiago Bernabéu.
